THERAPY FOR INDIVIDUALS

We work one-on-one in a safe, caring, and confidential environment

  • to explore challenging feelings, beliefs, or behaviors;

  • to work through demanding or influential memories;

  • to identify aspects of life that would be preferable to modify, and

  • to develop a better understanding of yourself and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change.

MODALITIES

Clinical skills develop after years of practice and training. Clinical social workers, for instance, get their clinical license after: a minimum of 2,000 hours of supervised therapy; a minimum of 3 years of post Master's education of supervised experience in diagnosis, psychotherapy and assessment-based treatment planning; and clinical examination of theory, ethics, and professional practices.

After obtaining the clinical license to practice psychotherapy independently of the degree originally obtained, (MSW, MHC, PsyD, MD, etc), most psychotherapists go on getting a specialization and train in several modalities to enhance and relate to the specialization.

We have attained specializations on:

  • Treatment of Trauma and PTSD,

  • Sex Therapy, and

  • Neurotherapy.

To better deliver and serve a myriad of emotional problems that relate to trauma, or sex, or dysregulation of the brain and nervous system, we have trained and offer sessions applying the methods of:

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Ericksonian Hypnosis

  • Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP)

  • Gestalt Therapy

  • Mindfulness and Awarefulness

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

  • Neurofeedback

  • Entrainment (brainwave synchronization)
