TRAUMA-RELATED PROBLEMS

Trauma is not just what happened—it’s what your mind and body had to do to survive it. Whether it stems from a single life-threatening event or the accumulation of toxic stress through neglect, abuse, abandonment, oppression, or prolonged emotional disconnection, trauma can profoundly reshape the way we think, feel, and relate to the world.

The impact of trauma is complex and multi-layered. It may show up as:

  • Emotional symptoms like anxiety, fear, rage, guilt, numbness, or mood swings

  • Cognitive difficulties such as confusion, poor concentration, or memory lapses

  • Somatic experiences including chronic pain, fatigue, sleep disruption, or digestive issues

  • Relational struggles—feeling disconnected, overly reactive, avoidant, or chronically isolated

  • Identity-level disruptions such as shame, depersonalization, derealization, or a loss of self

Trauma doesn’t just live in the mind—it imprints on the body, rewires the nervous system, and embeds itself in our emotional patterns, belief systems, and relationships.

That’s why healing requires more than insight. It requires an integrative, trauma-informed approach that honors both your biology and your story.

How I Work

My trauma treatment approach is rooted in the latest neuroscience, attachment theory, and contemplative psychology. I combine evidence-based modalities—such as EMDR, Brainspotting, neurofeedback, Internal Family Systems, AEDP, and somatic interventions—with deep respect for the human capacity to heal and adapt.

This work addresses all layers of the traumatized system:

  • Neurobiological regulation – calming the overactive nervous system and restoring safety in the body

  • Emotional processing – helping you safely access, name, and transform overwhelming or shut-down emotions

  • Cognitive integration – untangling distorted beliefs, survival scripts, and inner narratives that no longer serve you

  • Relational repair – rebuilding trust, boundaries, and a healthy sense of connection with self and others

  • Identity restoration – reconnecting to a coherent, grounded sense of self, free from the grip of fear or shame

Every person’s response to trauma is unique, so I tailor each treatment plan to match your history, temperament, goals, and readiness. Whether you're just beginning to explore your trauma or have done years of work already, we begin where you are—with deep respect, curiosity, and care.

The Goal

Healing from trauma doesn’t mean erasing the past. It means reclaiming your present. It means learning to feel safe in your own skin, to respond rather than react, and to live with greater clarity, calm, and connection.
