CONSULTATION

COACHING

STRATEGY

Not every challenge requires long-term therapy—and not every question can be answered from inside the same therapeutic frame. Whether you’ve been in therapy before and feel stuck, are just beginning to explore your options, or simply need expert guidance to think through a personal, professional, or relational challenge, a consultation may be the right fit for you.

What Is a Consultation?

A consultation is a focused, time-limited engagement designed to help you gain clarity, objectivity, and informed perspective on a specific issue. It can be a single session or a short series, depending on your goals.

Unlike therapy, which often builds a deeper, ongoing relationship over time, a consultation allows you to speak freely and honestly without worrying about long-term emotional engagement. There’s no need to withhold, perform, or commit to continued work. The focus is on insight and strategy, not emotional processing—although emotional awareness is often part of the conversation.

Who Is This For?

Consultation may be right for you if:

  • You’ve been in therapy but feel stuck and want a second opinion

  • You’re unsure whether therapy is the right path for you and need direction

  • You're navigating a difficult decision, transition, or situation and want expert input

  • You’re dealing with someone whose mental health or behavior affects you, and you're seeking guidance on how to respond

  • You want help understanding diagnoses, treatment options, or why a certain approach hasn’t worked

  • You need a neutral, informed perspective to help develop a personalized plan forward

What to Expect

In a consultation, you’ll have the opportunity to present your case, concerns, or questions in detail. The focus is on clarity, orientation, and practical direction. There’s no diagnostic requirement, no emotional pressure, and no hidden agenda. Just honest, informed feedback based on professional experience, neuroscience, trauma theory, emotional regulation, and strategic thinking.

We’ll look at:

  • Your personal goals and where you feel blocked

  • Treatment history and current challenges

  • Relationship dynamics or difficult personalities affecting you

  • Available resources and support systems

  • A path forward: suggestions for therapy, tools, strategies, or mindset shifts

Specialized Areas of Consultation

  • Treatment matching: Understanding what modality or therapist might best fit your needs

  • Diagnostic insight: Clarifying or deconstructing a diagnosis; exploring whether it applies

  • Why therapy may not be working: Reviewing obstacles and what may need to shift

  • Strategic planning: For life transitions, identity issues, emotional decisions, or burnout

  • Relational insight: When you need to understand the mental or emotional patterns of someone close to you—and how to protect or support yourself in the process

Coaching and Strategy

For those who are not seeking therapy but want ongoing support with specific life goals, emotional clarity, or professional development, coaching is available. This is best suited for individuals who are emotionally stable but want to build self-awareness, communication skills, resilience, or insight into behavioral patterns. We can also work on decision-making, confidence, boundaries, leadership, or emotional intelligence.
